Day 1 Early in the morning (7AM) we will drive to Torres del Paine National park. We begin our first full day trek, heading to the base of the Towers lookout point following the Ascencio River before entering the Ascencio Valley. Our walk will be uphill for one hour, stopping to observe the first glimpses of the valley and panoramic views of the Lake Nordenskjold. During the following 2 hours, we’ll walk through unbelievable forests of tall deciduous beech (Nothofagus Pumilio) and waterfalls, and then continue ascending through a huge terminal moraine up to a photographic view point (900m). From here we will be surrounded by three giant granite towers (2850m) and a lagoon with slurry waters resulting from glacial erosion. We will stop here for lunch, taking our time to enjoy this astonishing scenery, before our descent returning along the same path back to the transfer. We drive to the west side of the Park going around Almirante Nieto Mountain (2750 M) with Nordenskjold Lake at its base, and all the way to to the Serrano river area where we lodge in a cozy cabin with great views to the Paine Mountain range.
(2 hours driving, 8-10 hours back and forth, 18KM, 1 hour driving) (BL-D) (Night at Cabin Serrano)

Day 2 Early in the morning we start our day by going up the Grey Lake, with its impressive glacier of the same name, part of the South Patagonian Ice Field, third largest ice reserve in the world, 350KM long. We will make a short, flat walk, through a mature beech forest with possible sightings of Chilean flickers, austral parakeets or torrent ducks. We will cross a stony beach to arrive at a view point on a peninsula from where we can see deep blue icebergs surrounded by forests In the afternoon we start a hike to the Pingo Valley for a walk to the “Cascada los Salmones” where we’ll stop to take in the view before returning back along the same trail, with a chance to find the elusive Huemul (Andean Deer).
(30 minutes by transfer each way, 2 hours hike in the morning, 3 hours hike in the afternoon) (B-BL-D) (Night at Cabin Serrano)

Day 3 We make a stop at the Salto Grande waterfall to do our first hike to a look out point of the Paine Grande (3050m) and the Nordensjköld Lake. After enjoying a good picnic, we start a walk to the Cerro Condor, a path with panoramic glimpses of the park. This area is known for viewing the flight of the condor. After this hikes we start our drive back to Puerto Natales.
(1 hour driving, 2 hours hike in the morning, 2 hours hike in the afternoon, 2 hours driving back to Natales) (B-BL)

Winter Trek. It was fun!
It was an awesome experience. Guide Armando was pleasant and knowledgeable and I learned a lot about the area. There was no question that we asked that he did not know the answer to. He cooked delicious meals. He was respectful.

Your company answered emails promptly and when we arrived at your office, staff were pleasant and informative. Very professional. The planning and trek ran smoothly. There were no hitches. Meals, company , conversation and knowledge of Armando were excellent. It was fun!

Fall in love with Patagonia
amazing hikes. nice guide (christian), a good company and also very prepared. and it is great that chile nativo offers a guided tour service in winter, great time to me to experience Patagonia and Torres del Paine...
very tailored and efficient, exclusive trials, enjoyable company from driver and guide. Cristian and Patricio have been great. Some doubts on the lago grey food, but in this period of the year i guess that's the best you can get

It has been a magic experience. To be in Torres del Paine in winter. Just very few people. 2+guide+driver. and in the park we met almost noone. Our guide was very expert, with a deep knowledge of the park, so the itinerary chosen were just great and also his explanations very exhaustive. Chile Nativo staff was also a very pleasant company, nice and open, and respectful of private spaces, and personal relaxation/contemplation during the trip. Also the timing was kind of perfect, not too long, but not too short and defititely enough to fall in love with Patagonia.

Honeymoon in Winter
A trip of a lifetime -- with huge thanks to Gonzalo, Rebecca, and Pato! We enjoyed all the food -- trail mix, soups, coffee with Bailey's, avocado, home-baked bread, and smoked salmon. We liked Gonzalo's suggestions for our challenging trekking routes; he was also looking out to make sure our activities were safe given daylight and weather conditions. We really appreciated the 'extras', such as the maps we received, the trekking poles he brought for us, the drop-in visit to Explora, the visit to the Chile Nativo office in Puerto Natales, and the Chile Nativo DVD! Pato was a great driver and we are glad that he was able to join us for some of our hikes.

Gonzalo was a fantastic guide -- very energetic, knowledgeable, and his passion for Patagonia was evident throughout our entire tour! We also appreciated that he contacted us on the day we arrived from Punta Arenas.
Your care and thoughtfulness in designing an itinerary that maximized our experience in Torres del Paine was the reason we decided to choose Chile Nativo. After a fantastic tour, you have proven to us that you were the best choice!

We did compare the cost of a winter trek with some other operators; Chile Nativo was more expensive but we knew that we were paying more for a better experience with you, so in the end, your price was very reasonable. After our trip, we are certain that the little extra that we spent for Chile Nativo was totally worth it! We would recommend you to all of our friends and will be posting positive comments on some websites such as TripAdvisor, etc.
